April Fools Cupcakes

I wanted to send something in to my kids classrooms tomorrow for April Fools Day.  I flipped through my Hello Cupcake book and came across these adorable spaghetti cupcakes.  Perfect!  I threw these together in no time with just a box mix, a can of  frosting, whoppers candy, strawberry jam and white chocolate chips.  If you are looking for something quick and easy to make for the kids tomorrow...these can't be beat!

First, start with your favorite cupcake.

Take vanilla canned frosting and add
three drops of yellow food coloring and 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder.
 I used Hershey's.  Mix well.

Place frosting in a zip-lock bag and snip one end.  Squeeze bag and drizzle all over cupcake moving your hand up and down and all around to create the appearance of noodles.

Add a Whoppers candy for the meatball. You can use any chocolate candy that is round.

Then take your squeeze bottle of strawberry jam and squeeze directly over the candy covering it completely

The Sauce

The meatballs

Parmesan anyone?

Place white chocolate chips in blender or food processor until fine crumbs form.  Sprinkle over cupcake.

It's as easy as pie...Err, I mean spaghetti.

All items are store bought and easy to assemble.

I think this creative little treat will really fool the kids.

All six dozen of them!

Bon appétit
