Fondant people

Do you miss playing with play dough as a kid?  Bring it back ( in the form of fondant of course) and start creating those perfect little people you used to play with.  Although it can be a bit time consuming, it's really quite easy to do.  With a few simple tools and a toothpick inserted into the head to secure to the body, you'll have no problem sculpting a cutie patootie of your own.  I added a link to help guide you if you need it.  Psst....don't actually play with your creations, put it on your cake!

A birthday cake and bowl of popcorn.
Just play around until you get it to look the way you want.
For the popcorn I used a wilton tip #5 to texture it.

Shhh...she is whispering to a friend.

If you take a look at the body here, it's very basic.   Roll out one large ball for the body two medium for the legs and two small for the arms.
Pretend like your are making sausages and flatten the ends with your finger to attach.

I used a cutter/embosser for quilting the blanket

For the pillow, roll out a piece of white fondant and flattened a bit at the top.  Wrap with a rectangular piece of fondant and crimp the sides with the same embosser you used for the quilt.

Have a great weekend,

Buttercream
