Snickerdoodles

Everyone loves a good classic cookie recipe.  The Snickerdoodle is one of my favorites and Betty Crocker has it down with this easy recipe.   It's simply the best I have ever tasted. Snickerdoodles (and it's silly name) orginated from Germany.  It's a sugar cookie dough with a few basic ingredients that are rolled into balls and dipped in a sugar and cinnamon mixture before popping it into the oven.  While baking the dough will  puff up and then when cooling on a wire rack the cookie will flatten and crack.  This makes them crunchy on the outside  and soft and chewy on the inside.  Careful.  They are irresistible.

Once you have prepared the dough, roll like as you would a meatball in the palms of your hands, then dip in cinnamon sugar mixture.
Just roll that baby around in there until it's all nice and coated.

Place on a cookie sheet lined with Parchment paper.
Bake for 9 minutes in a preheated oven set at 400 degrees.

Puffy and yummy after baking

Enjoy!
