Our special angel

When my best friend Meahgen asked me to be her daughter's Godmother, I was super thrilled.  Little Emmy was a miracle baby and we are so happy to have her in our lives.   I was really excited to make her a fabulous cake, brownie pops, cookies and cupcakes for her special event.  This dessert bar is offered from Buttercream by special request and is so much fun to make.  Here are some pictures of our special day.

You may recognize these cross cookies from a previous post. I made them for my kids First Communion.   For a quicker alternative to royal icing you can use fondant for decorating the cookie.  No drying time, easier to stack and transport and you use the same cutter you did for the cookies.  You know it's not on my blog if it's not EASY!

The ever so popular brownie pops

Whoops! I forgot to add the cupcake toppers before I took this picture.

That's better

Fondant flowers and crosses on Italian meringue buttercream.  I used a comber
to create the lines on the sides of the cake

A sneak peak of the inside...

orange cake with raspberry filling...yummo!

Playing around on photoshop.com. I may use this for marketing someday.

God bless you Emersyn Anne

  1. Dear Buttercream,

Do you give the recipe/instructions for the cross shaped sugar cookies with fondant? Everything you do is utterly lovely. Your whole life is a beautiful poem! Thanks for sharing all your special touches.

    Blessings…
